Welcome to the official website of the Abbotsford Genealogical Society (AGS). We strive to create a friendly atmosphere where people interested in genealogical research and family history can come together. Members are encouraged to learn the principles, methods and effective techniques of genealogical research. The Society collects, preserves, displays and shares information that may lead to a greater understanding of genealogy. The AGS Resource Centre is located in the Archives of The Reach Gallery Museum at 32388 Veterans Way Abbotsford BC; there is complimentary parking and disabled access.
The AGS is taking a break from meetings, training and special interest groups until September 2017. The Resource Centre may be staffed fewer hours to give our volunteers a break; check the online schedule for details. Members may use the Resource Centre when The Reach is open to the public: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Thursdays 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM; and Saturdays and Sundays 12 noon to 5:00 PM. The Reach is closed Mondays.
AGS computers are serviced once per month by our Webmaster. If you encounter an issue, email details to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com . Like good hikers, leave the desktop setup untouched when you finish your research session. Otherwise one or more of the computers may not be able to offer all the programs for member or public use until the next regularly scheduled service.
This website offers current news and information regarding our services and resources, when you can access our Resource Centre and whom to contact

The Society does not staff an office in the Resource Centre. If you need assistance, contact any officer or Committee Coordinator under "Contact Us" or firstname.lastname@example.org . We are here to help!
