The Abbotsford Genealogical Society (AGS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1977 and committed to promoting, fostering and encouraging research in genealogy. Objectives: to collect, preserve, display and share genealogical information, manuscripts, transcripts, microfiche, charts, census, maps books and photographs, which advance research and understanding of genealogy. The AGS promotes, coordinates and presents public-oriented genealogical seminars, workshops and displays to nurture genealogical appreciation.

Deadline for membership is January 31 annually. Print, complete and bring your forms to any General Meeting; ask for the Membership Coordinator. You must be a member to enjoy the benefits.
Governance
The AGS Bylaw and Constitution complies with the BC Societies Act. The legislation, which governs not-for-profit corporations, was approved November 16, 2017 by the Membership and filed with Victoria.
